New Start....

Wow... I need to get better at this, and now that I am decent on Facebook I am going to work harder at keeping this going... the difference now is that I am going to do this as an outlet for me as my family changes. I hope this will help me keep track of those milestone in our family... this kids, myself, and of course Lee!

So now for a bit of an update.

The biggest event is we are now a family of four!! Yes, this past June God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl, Ana Maria Sophia Weldon! She is a joy just as Cameron was as a baby! She is now almost 5 months old, and beautiful!

Another big event is that our journey has taken us to San Antonio, TX. Through a lot of heartache and consideration we are rebuilding our lives after almost a year of unemployment here in the great state of TX! We are blessed to have the support of both of our families! The Weldons do everything they can from MO, and we are looking forward to seeing them around Thanksgiving! The Hotards for offering their home. We are truly blessed to have this support while we look for work, and rebuild financially! I know they enjoy having the grand kids around, but I also know that this is a big sacrifice to give of their time, space, and more! With all our hearts THANK YOU!

A few miles stones for the family have been:

Cameron turned 2 this past September, and is a very independent little boy (wonder where he gets that from...) He talks more more everyday. Right now he also loves his cars and trucks, and is very inventive when he plays with them. For instance, he will take the edge of the rug in the living room and "fluff" it so that there is a hill for his cars to go over! SMART! He also loves his Music Together class. You may not see that in class because he will sit and take it all in, but in the car and at home he does the motions and ask for "song" so that I will sing to him! I am also blessed with the fact that he is a great eater, and I mean of the good stuff! He will clean his plate at almost every meal, and almost all the time heads right for the veggies - Yes, and for those adults who don't eat their veggies - he even likes spinach and brussel sprouts!! - DAD or should I say "PopPop"

Little Miss Ana rolled over a couple weeks ago, and now has cut her first tooth! She is such a happy baby, and loves it when you sing to her. She also loves going to Music Together, and is just a joy snuggle and play with!

Lee is working hard at finding work, and I know even with the thought of a career change he will do awesome. I can't thank family and friends enough for all their prayers during this part of our journey. We just had our 7 year anniversary this past Monday, and although we are in a challenging chapter in our lives, we made a promise to enjoy the little moments and be thankful for what we have!

Milestones for myself ....well I have started my journey of becoming healthy. I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't get this way overnight, so it isn't going to change overnight! I started with a 6 day cleanse in which I dropped 11 lbs, and I knew wasn't going to keep all that off - I felt good! Then Mom and I started our 21 day induction phase of the Food Lovers System! Wow... easy and manage able. The approach is to reset your metabolism and tweak one thing a day.... bite size pieces! We took our before pics and measurements... and at the end of the 21 day I was down an additional 3 from the cleanse! Not bad... 15 total with only minor tweak to my "diet" or routine! Now we are on the Food Lover For Life phase... and although there is quite a bit more for me to loose I am feeling good and seeing inches fall away! I am fitting into clothes I hadn't in a long time! I know I will get there!! So today the start of week 2 Mom and I doubles our work out time, and I feel good!

So that is a quick update on the family and where we are at. and I am going to keep this up - it will help me remember our children's milestones as well as map my up and downs with my new lifestyle!

BUT of course... can say all this without a few pics!
Okay ....having trouble uploading.... will post pics soon!

Cameron's First Pool Party

Well as everyone can see this little one is pretty social. He has lots of play mates and always enjoys getting together with others. His friend, Ben, had everyone over for a pool party. This was not only Cameron's first pool party, but first time in a big pool... our little pool is deep enough to kick or anything like that.

So here are a few pics from the pool party this past Thursday the 10th.... oh, even better was Daddy was able to make it cuz he was done with work early... he met us there and was the picture taker.

Our little man loves the water and showed that he is not afraid. He did really well kicking and splashing. I also took him underwater and he was shocked but didn't fuss and when we went under again he did good! I am so proud of my little man.

And he is our little man, 10 months old as of yesterday... Yeah... no exciting pictures or anything like that.... I have been a bit under the weather this weekend and really just laid low. Saturday I really didn't do much at all. We, Cameron and I, are leaving for San Antonio tomorrow and I was hoping to shake this.... I haven't, but I really do think it is more allergy than anything, so getting out of town may help! ....So here is to my 1o month old and a trip to Tata and Papi's!!

Our Family 4th...

Our fourth this year was both eventful and uneventful.... Lee (Daddy) had to work and was in northern CA until Sat. evening. Cameron and I had a quite 4th of July plan.... well that turned into an even quieter plan. Cameron decided to get a fever, funny he was still up playing around, eating, drinking, and his diapers were normal as well (good poo and pee)....so we stayed home and I kept a close eye on him. This little man ran a fever until Sat. afternoon, but again he was still eating and drinking plenty. So.. needless the actual 4th was spent in the cool in doors....

Sunday, the family decided to head down the hill to see an Angels baseball game. We had to make sure and get some Angels gear. He had a onsie last year, but obviously has outgrown it. I went all over town...do you know how hard it is to find Angels gear! Don't worry if you are a Dodger fan there is plenty, but no.... I found 18-24 month clothes, but nothing smaller. I had the same trouble finding Daddy and T-shirt. I finally found a T-shirt for Dad at Wal-Mart and Cameron got an outfit that was festive for the holiday - on clearance.

Here we are headed into the stadium... Daddy loved having him on his shoulders and can't wait until he will do this without so much assistance.

On one of the many break walking up the many ramps to our seats... the cheap ones!

Here we are finally in the seats... we got there early, so we sat, and then headed to the shade!!

Yes, Cameron's first baseball game... He did very well. It was family day and HOT! I have to say this in one of the most fan friendly stadiums we have been in. They didn't baulk at the stuffed packed diaper bag which from the web we found we could bring in bottles/drinks and no mention of food restrictions. We weren't sure if we missed something so we brought water, and peanuts and ALL the baby accessories. Come to find out we could bring in food. I think that is awesome and a great way to get out and save money. Not only did they give away sunscreen at guest services, but the usher made sure we knew that we could use empty shaded seats until the shade covered our seats! We didn't use the seats, but took advantage of the breezeway.... shaded and breezy!!!

Aahh shade is good!!....

He even took a nap in my arms.... once he woke up he was having fun with a cold wet towel!

Once the shade hit our seats.. it was obviously comfortable! Could Ya' tell.... He was so relaxed.
That is of course until Daddy let him sip the Icee.... sugar!!! He liked that!....

Then Mom stepped in with the straw full of water.... had fun with that, but I don't think he liked it as much as the cherry Icee. :)

He even got a sticker for the baby book (that hasn't been worked on....)

Over all we had fun and this was how we celebrated our 4th of July... a little late!

A bit more catch up...

Cameron is well into his 9 month and at his check up he was 19.8 lbs and 28 inches long..... and I must say quite the looker! Over the last month he has gotten 4 teeth, 2 bottom and 2 top, stands on his own for at least a minute if not more...and trys to take steps. Although not successful at the steps yet I know it will be any day now and he will be off and running....

We also had our first pool time in the last month. Lee and I bought a cute little pool at Target for less than $15 and he loves it..... I have a water baby on my hands... now he loves to play in the pool and the bathtub...... here's the little tadpole:

So he is wonderful... still happy as can be. Some other happenings.... the mister man has really slowed down on the spit up... that not only makes mommy happy, but it helps with the laundry!..... Speaking of happy here is a cute clip of Cameron play with an empty water bottle and Jedi... He loves his puppies or anyone else's for that matter.....

I just love the baby giggles..... he loves this a lot here lately. He loves when Mom or Dad play silly with him. I can't say enough about how blessed I am to have such a wonderful child.

More to come....

A little bit of everything!!!!

There are so many things I could title this post:

We're not dead.
It now been over a month...
WOW. has Cameron changed.
No more procrastination.
Could be a record breaking post.... as in the length...
What have we been up to...
Trips, tricks, and more....

And I am sure the list can go on..... I will decided on something by the end of the post, but I am going to post today! I had even started another post, but there wasn't even enough in there to finish!.... so today I will give over a month's update..... there are some great pics and short clips:

Let's start with the San Antonio trip. Cameron and I traveled to see my family in San Antonio TX in May. The trip was two fold, visit of course and the Children's Chorus of San Antonio Reunion concert which I sang in.

Before we left I of course had errands to get done, and I stopped by my chiropractors office for a quick adjustment... this is Cameron when we got out of the car. Yes, he was awake and eating when we left our last stop (and at this point I can't remember what that was...).

Photo taken 5/27/07

Once we got to San Antonio it was a ton of fun hanging out with the family. I tried to relax and just hang out... getting used to the humidity was a challenge...... One of the biggest things going on was the SPURS/LAKERS play off games... yes, even though we know the sad outcome now it was still fun and intense... Here is grandpa and Cameron all decked out:

Of course there was a little bit of shopping....and Cameron was always along for the ride...... as always would sleep in the car..... cutie.... check out the sunglasses that never stay on... we try!

So of course there were lazy days... here is Cameron sleeping on his Titi Katie. This is the family dog "Little Bit".... so cute, but not really sure of people in general, and Cameron is definitely a threat.... by the end of the week she was better...

Cameron loves animals. Dogs especially. Being around our big boys helps... Here is Little Bit being brave and letting Cameron pet her.
I was excited to be there to help my sister, Katie, start shopping for her wedding dress. This was so awesome..... I am limited to what pictures to post because we don't want to ruin the surprise for Paul! Let me just say she found her dress and she lights up every time she went back to this dress. As usual Cameron was so good while we where there.... even the gals at the store where amazed! Here he is with his Titi Teresa! Adorable!!!
And the Moms..... we all were having fun.... and when THE dress was found.... the Moms cried!! Awesome!!!

The Children's Chorus of San Antonio (CCSA) Alumni concert was to celebrate the closing of their 25th season. We had an all day rehearsal on Sat. and then concert was on Sun. I will admit it had been a long time since I had sang (more than in the shower or car) or read a piece of music. The music was amazing. There were a few pieces I had never sung before, but the ones from my time spent in the chorus brought back great memories. I really miss singing and thought I should find something local in CA to keep this skill polished. Here are some pics from rehearsal.

I was able to share the experience with my sister, Katie. Christy is also an alum, but currently in South Africa. Teresa is still active in the chorus, and joined us for the final song at the concert.

Of course before I left San Antonio we had to visit my uncle Mickey. He is my God-Father and was in a car accident almost 5 years ago. He has made awesome progress this past year. To see him light up when I introduced him to Cameron was amazing. He smiled and gave Cameron both a hug and a kiss. He actually puckered up and made the kissing sound. Mom got a better picture of that, but here are the pictures I was able to get....

I am looking forward to my next visit because he had under gone a procedure and due to the head trauma he doesn't bounce back like most people. He wasn't in his normal home and I am sure not feeling like himself. It was still amazing to see him!

Whenever you visit it never seems long enough.... so here are a couple airport shots....

So now we are into June.....once we are back in CA we get back to our routine and I tried to add some walking with a friend from the Moms group I go to weekly. Krista and her son Jayson came over a couple time and we took a nice walk to a local park... the boys loved the swings, and slept on the way home... BUT this bad mother forgot her camera the day the swings were a hit... so here are a few pics of the little man decked out for the walk.

Dad was working in LA so we went down to the Dwell show to visit. That was fun to see Dad working. Lots of cool green products (that we can't afford).... And then there is Mythic paint, still in most people's price range..... Cameron had too much fun with Dad....

Well... it now approaching midnight and I am pooped... I have done a lot of updating today... tomorrow I will post with some great pics of pool time and a giggle video...so stayed tuned....

Glad to be back into the swing of things....

Where to Start...

Hello from the Delinquent!!!

*** Disclosure: This post was started and not finished... so today 6/27/08!!! So here goes the big catch up... starting here:

So here is going to be a post that catches up many things from Cameron's firsts to home improvements. Where to start is the challenge.

One of the biggest happenings lately was the completion of the landscaping in my front yard. After the city of Victorville sent us a letter because they didn't care for our weedy desert landscape Lee and I began researching options for low maintenance landscape. It was the first time we actually went to the local home show with a purpose... that's a first. After talking to a few businesses we decided to put in partial artificial turf and Arizona river rock. I love it. There is always more to be done, but here is the finished product. I love it.

Over all I really love the yard. Now instead of mowing the yard I am sweeping rocks after kids walk by.... but at least we don't pay to water the desert! Here are the pics of the yard!

8 months old TODAY...

Wow... do I dare say he is growing up? Where does the time go. My little man isn't so little anymore. As of last week at the Dr. office he was 19.4 lbs and 28 inches long. Did I mention he was Super Baby!!!

And of course he has a Super Dad too... These pictures where taken at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Missouri.... I can't believe how much he has changed in just two weeks.

Lee and I were watching him play in the pack n' play and noticed that he is letting go and trying to balance on his own. He will hold a standing position for about 15 to 30 seconds... but he is doing it.... And then today after lots of fuss the last few days we felt the sharp edges of his first bottom tooth!! As exciting as that is... the first thing that came to mind is he is going to loose that baby look so fast now as teeth start coming in. Exciting and sad all at the same time.

We actually had quite a few first today. He had some baby meat for the first time. We started with chicken, and here is what we got... oh did I mention the audience I had after opening that jar of food. Those dogs are going to love it when he gets to the feeding himself and dropping food.....

I am hoping to get some video of this standing trick soon... not to mention a picture of that tooth.... I tried earlier, and all he wanted to do was eat the camera.
